Spider-Man: Homecoming saw Tom Holland starring as the titular hero, his second appearance as the character. Robert Downey Jr. reprises as Iron Man alongside Marisa Tomei as Aunt May (who also made her debut in Civil War). Characters making their MCU debuts in the film include Zendaya as Michelle, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Laura Harrier as Liz, Tony Revolori as Flash, with Bokeem Woodbine as Herman Schultz/The Shocker, and Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes, aka The Vulture. The film marked the first time since Batman Returns that Keaton has appeared in a superhero film. Directed by Jon Watts, Homecoming became the highest-grossing, non-Disney release for Marvel Studios at the domestic box office

A sequel to the film is officially set to debut on July 5, 2019, though a title for the film hasn’t been announced. The film will reportedly follow Peter’s Junior year in high school and Kevin Feige has confirmed the film will be more of a globe-trotter than previous Spider-Man movies.
