The full DC Comics July 2018 solicitations have been released, and in the gallery viewer below, you can now check out all the artwork, synopses and product images for more than 100 different upcoming releases.
The new month brings several new starts for the DCU with some brand new #1s, including a new Justice League Dark #1 and Justice League Odyssey #1 , both spinning out of the pages of Justice League: No Justice . The new Justice League Dark series is written by James Tynion IV, with art by Alvaro Martinez Bueno and Raul Fernandez. In the series, team leader Wonder Woman guides the misfit magic mix of Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Man-Bat and Detective Chimp against enemies too fantastic even for the Justice League. Justice League Odyssey will take a new team to the stars with writer Joshua Williamson and art by Stjepan Sejic. In the series, Cyborg, Starfire, Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and an out-of-his-element Azrael head to deep space inside a commandeered Brainiac Skull Ship. But as these wildcard teammates try to stop Despero from slave-trading Coluan refugees, they discover something that nothing in the universe could have prepared them for: Darkseid…who says he’s there to help?!
July also brings another key moment in Brian Michael Bendis’ brand new run on Superman with the debut of Superman #1 and Action Comics #1,001 . Artists Ivan Reis and Joe Prado will provide the art for Superman and artist Patrick Gleason will be the artist for Action Comics . In Superman , the fallout from the Man of Steel miniseries has Clark Kent looking at the world through new eyes… with new ideas about what Superman could and should do for the city of Metropolis and the planet Earth. His first job? Getting the planet back out of the Phantom Zone! In Action Comics , the devastating repercussions from the Man of Steel miniseries still reverberate as Metropolis enters a new age! The Daily Planet teeters on the brink of disaster! A new criminal element has made its way onto the streets of Superman’s hometown!
Finally, the wedding you never thought you’d see comes to Gotham in the pages of Batman #50 . The Batrimony is real as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are set to tie the knot in a can’t-miss, extra-length milestone issue that will reshape Gotham City. All their friends (and a few enemies?) will be party to a comic book coupling for the ages.
You can also check out the DC Comics June 2018 solicitations from last month and check back soon to see what July will be bringing from Marvel Comics.
