What’s the focus? What is interesting about Fawcett City is its perpetual art deco aesthetic. It’s a Norman Rockwell painting come to life, even in the “present day.” A series focusing on teenage Billy Batson, reporter for WHIZ radio and moonlighting superhero, might sound typical on the surface, but it’s actually different from all the other heroics we’re seeing on television and film. The “Golden Age” tone could really set it apart from all the dark, gritty, brooding heroes we’re so used to now. It’s unlikely we’ll ever see this come to pass given the movement on a Shazam movie with Dwayne Johnson, but we can dream.
