11 Characters Marvel Studios Should Consider for a Female-Led Movie

#7 MISS AMERICA

As far as origin stories go, America Chavez’s is kind of….out there. Raised in an alternate dimension called the Utopian Parallel, Chavez was raised by two mothers whose genes gifted her with special abilities. As their dimension was threatened by black holes, her parents sacrificed themselves to save her, but America knew that the “utopia” would be fine without her and left, off to have her own adventures in the multiverse.

America is both super strong and durable, bullets seem to just fly right off her, but the most unique and interesting power that she has is her reality shattering punches. Yep, Miss America can punch a hole in one dimension and create a door to another. This might not seem like a big deal to some, Superman did it once after all, but Chavez does it all the time.

The origin of the character is probably better suited for comics, but with Latino audiences taking up a larger portion of moviegoing audiences every year, coupled with the clamoring for a female hero, there’s no way a Miss America movie wouldn’t be widely accepted by audiences, provided it was good.

Her male counterpart has already appeared in two MCU films, but we’d honestly rather she her star in her own movie. Find out who on page 8!
