11 Characters Marvel Studios Should Consider for a Female-Led Movie

#4 SHE-HULK

The cousin of one Bruce Banner, Jennifer Walters was given her other green half following an injury and blood transfusion from old Bruce. Combining Bruce’s gamma irradiated blood with her own led to Jen transforming into the She-Hulk, sometimes due to anger like Bruce and sometimes at her own will. What really separates She-Hulk from Hulk, however, is that all of Jennifer’s personality is present even when she’s mean and green.

Just like The Hulk, She-Hulk has increased strength, dexterity, and endurance, but even better than her male counterpart is that she’s a team player. The character has been a member of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Defenders, and the Heroes for Hire. While Hulk may not play well with others, She-Hulk is ripe for teamwork. Plus, she’s a lawyer when she isn’t beating on bad guys.

The She-Hulk can bring a number of different things to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not only a female voice and POV, but a female with power. So far, the women of the MCU haven’t had a lot of actual super powers at their disposal (Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron will fix that), but She-Hulk can go toe-to-toe with evil just as much as Iron Man or Thor. Not only does the She-Hulk bring a new POV to the MCU, but she’s a white collar worker moonlighting as a superhero, and though that may draw comparisons to Daredevil, the two couldn’t be more different in terms of their ethos and rogues.

There aren’t enough detectives in the MCU, but our #5 pick would change that. Learn who we want to see on page 5!
