Diana of Themyscira has faced many challenges as Wonder Woman. However, motherhood may prove to be the most trying. A flash-forward backup feature in her DC All-In monthly comic introduced Trinity as a particularly spirited young woman, who was every bit as independent as Diana. Now she’s headlining her own solo comic, by creators Tom King and Belén Ortega.

Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman will center upon Elizabeth “Lizzie” Marston Prince. The story finds the young Amazon princess traveling into the timestream, seeking the father she never knew. Of course tangling with the time travel generally can result in dire consequences. In this case, however, it results in Lizzie’s babysitters, Jon Kent and Damian Wayne, being transformed into corgis. With the Super Sons gone to the dogs, it will fall to Trinity to try and fix things, regardless how how much more complicated they become.

Six covers for Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #1 may be viewed below.

Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman explained

First appearing in Wonder Woman #800, the origins of Trinity were specifically left unexplained for several years. The young heroine enjoyed a number of adventures, chiefly with the Super Sons babysitting her. These included her first concert and Kite Man teaching her how to fly a kite.

Eventually, the circumstances of Trinity’s birth were revealed in Wonder Woman Vol. 6 #14. The issue found Diana traveling into the afterlife, seeking the soul of her lover, Steve Trevor. The soldier had been murdered by the Sovereign, the self-styled secret king of America.

Wonder Woman was unable to bring Steve back to the land of the living. However, she resolved to create a new life born of love to combat the death caused by Sovereign’s hatred. She crafted a clay statue of a baby girl, explicitly copying the circumstances of her own divine birth. She wove strands of her and Steve’s souls into the core of the clay, praying that she might be granted a daughter. The prayer was answered and Trinity was born.

Trinity: Daughter Of Wonder Woman #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on June 11, 2025.
