DC and SEGA have finally released the official cover art for DC x Sonic the Hedgehog, the upcoming comic book series that brings together the unlikely teams of the Justice League and Sonic the Hedgehog. The five-issue crossover series will be published on March 19, 2025.

The main cover art was created by Pablo M. Collar, with Ethan Young producing the variant cover. In addition, DC and SEGA have also provided fans with a first look at the series’ interior page previews.

What do we know about the Justice League & Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series?

DC x Sonic the Hedgehog hails from writer Ian Flynn and artist Adam Bryce Thomas, with Matt Herms also serving as the colorist for the first issue. The new series will center around an unprecedented crossover event where the Justice League and Team Sonic must team up in order to save their worlds from a major threat. This project was first announced at last year’s SEGA’s Central livestream event.

“The action speeds up when the monstrous Darkseid crosses dimensions to invade the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, seeking the ultimate power. Sonic and his friends have faced everything from mad scientists to ancient spirits, but the forces of Apokolips may be too much for them! Thankfully, the full heroic might of the Justice League arrives to back them up,” reads the logline for the DC crossover. “Throughout the five issues of DC x Sonic the Hedgehog, sacrifices will be made, heroes will rise, and the need for speed will test the Justice League and Team Sonic to their limits!”
