Logan is the best there is at what he does. Peter Parker is a friendly neighborhood superhero. Together, they are the flagship heroes of Marvel Comics, but neither of them enjoys working with the other. However, circumstances will force the two together again in a new Spider-Man & Wolverine series.
The new comic book will find the two heroes targeted by an unknown enemy, reluctantly joining forces. This leads to a mystery that ties into the pasts of both heroes, as well as big villains, bigger threats, and even bigger surprises.
What we know about the new Spider-Man & Wolverine
A team-up of this magnitude requires an equally impressive team-up of superstar creators, and Spider-Man & Wolverine has one. Author and screenwriter Marc Guggenheim, best known for his work on Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, will provide the scripts. Art duties will be taken on by acclaimed comic creator Kaare Andrews, who has worked on many Marvel titles since 2000.
“Spider-Man & Wolverine are probably my two favorite Marvel characters to write and among my favorites in all of comics,” Guggenheim told Polygon. “I wrote Peter and Logan very early in my career, so I’m particularly excited about returning to them with a great deal more of experience and skill to lend to the endeavor. Kaare Andrews and I are determined to deliver a comic book blockbuster every month, with action that never stops.”
Andrews was equally enthusiastic about the project. “Spider-Man & Wolverine have always attracted the best artists in comics and I’m pulling from all of them. But honestly, it’s not just about individual artists. It’s about the era that shaped me. The late ‘80s and early ‘90s comics were a huge influence, and that’s where I first fell in love with the medium.”
Spider-Man & Wolverine #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on May 7, 2025.
