Dark Horse Comics has found tremendous success with their partnership with Millarworld. That success has continued through a set of special library edition hardcovers collecting the comic writings of Mark Millar. Now, the publisher has announced the latest in the line — a special edition of Starlight.
Unrelated to the heroine from The Boys, Starlight was originally published as a six-issue limited series in 2014. Millar partnered with artist Goran Parlov on the series. Parlov is best known for his work at Marvel Comics on various Punisher series. The creative team was completed by colorist Ive Svorcina and letterer Marko Šunjić. The series also enjoyed cover art by acclaimed Star Wars artist John Cassady. His full cover for the library edition can be viewed in full below.

The Story of Starlight
Described as Flash Gordon meets Galaxy Quest, Starlight centers around former space hero Duke McQueen. Forty years earlier, Duke was a space-traveling superhero who freed a distant alien world from an evil tyrant. Unfortunately, nobody believed a word of his story when he returned home to Earth.
As Starlight opens, Duke McQueen is a retired widower whose children are grown. However, he is called back into action after a familiar rocket lands in his backyard. A boy from the world he rescued, raised on legends of the great Duke McQueen who saved every one of them, begs him to return. This begins Duke’s journey from has-been to hero as he struggles to fit into his old uniform and against a familiar enemy.

The new Library Edition collects the entirety of the original six-issue Starlight: The Return of Duke McQueen limited series. It is printed in an oversized hardcover format, numbering 184 pages. It will retail for $49.99.
Starlight Library Edition HC arrives in comic shops everywhere on September 10, 2025.
