Solomon Kane comparatively stands second only to Conan the Barbarian in popularity among the creations of Robert E. Howard. The two heroes joined forces in the 2024 Battle of the Black Stone event, as Kane appeared in the Savage Sword of Conan anthology. Now, the puritan witch-hunter will headline his own miniseries and set the stage for Titan Comics‘ big 2025 Conan event.
Titled Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring, the new miniseries will run for four issues. It will be written and drawn by comic creator Patch Zircher. It was also Zircher who produced the recent Savage Sword of Conan stories centered around the self-styled “Sword of Vengeance.”
The series will find Solomon Kane battling along the Barbary Coast, to the canals of Venice. He falls in with a band of rogues, seeking an artifact of evil; the Serpent Ring of Set. Fans of Conan the Barbarian will recognize this as the trademark weapon of the evil sorcerer Thoth-Amon.

Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring is first solo series in 15 years
The new miniseries is notable for several reasons. Chief above all is that it is the first solo series devoted to Solomon Kane to be published in over 15 years. However, it is also acting as the kickoff to Heroic Signatures‘ upcoming Conan: Scourge Of The Serpent event. Details have yet to be revealed, but it is suspected it will tie in to last year’s Battle of the Black Stone crossover and may reunite Conan with other Robert E. Howard creations in a battle across time and space.
Solomon Kane: The Serpent Ring is also notable for some of the artists producing covers for the miniseries. The first issue alone boasts covers from J.H. Williams III, Mike Mignola, Andrew Maclean, and Daniel Brereton. This is in addition to the cover produced by Patch Zircher.
