First, Deadpool killed every hero in the Marvel Universe. And it was good. Then he killed every hero in a different Marvel Universe. This, too, was good. Now, for the hat trick, the Merc with a Mouth will top himself, as the highly anticipated trilogy comes to a close with Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe One Last Time.
The new miniseries reunites writer Cullen Bunn and artist Dalibor Talajić. Their twisted storytelling earned them a place among the most beloved and creative teams to handle Wade Wilson. Improving upon their earlier collaborations will not be easy, but it is a challenge both creators welcome.
“We wouldn’t have come back to a new Deadpool Kills story unless we could come up with something completely unexpected,” Bunn noted. “And that’s what you’ll get here. You’ll also get what I think is the most epic Deadpool story of all time.”
“It seems eons ago that I drew my first Deadpool story—at the time I didn’t even know who he was!” Talajić shared. “Still, when Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe happened, it changed my life. So whenever I have an opportunity to come back to him, it’s like reuniting with an old friend.”
Deadpool takes on the Multiverse
The story of Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe One Last Time takes Wade Wilson into the Multiverse. This is not the first time he’s jumped between dimensions, but it is his first time doing it with multiple targets in mind. Someone is paying well to see the worst of the worst in all the Earths ended. This will throw the Merc with a Mouth against world-killing Hulks, werewolf Captain Americas, and “some all-new twisted takes.” It will be bloody. It will be bonkers. It will be five issues long.
