The Venom War is over. Yet when the dust cleared, neither Eddie Brock nor his son, Dylan, reclaimed their symbiotic other. The symbiote hightailed it out of the conflict, only to reemerge with a new host as an All-New Venom.
Written by Al Ewing, with art by Carlos Gomez, the preview of All-New Venom opens in the heat of the action. A would-be leader of the super science group AIM attacks the trial of Madam Masque. She escapes in the confusion, just as a certain symbiote and their new host show up spoiling for a fight.

New Venom host will be revealed by the issue’s end
The preview introduces all four characters teased in the early announcements as potential hosts for the new Venom. They are identified accordingly as the Journalist (Robbie Robertson), the Terrorist (Madame Masque), the Sidekick (Rick Jones), and Mayor Luke Cage. All four are possibilities based on this scene, but readers will not know for certain until the end of the issue. However, whoever the new symbiote host is, their new series will veer away from the cosmic tone of the more recent Venom series.
“The pendulum swings away from that and back into a much more intimate, character-based story,” explains Ewing. However, the new series will also have “a lot of that ground-level super hero action. Slinging webs, slinging chains, doing the Venom thing.” Ewing further promises that he and Gomez will have “a couple of twists that we’re gonna have fun bringing in.”
All-New Venom #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on December 4, 2024.
