In 2022, Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum presented the first issue of their superhero comedy series Minor Threats. The setting has expanded since then, with other creators playing in their sandbox with series like The Alternates and Barfly. Now, an impressive array of comics creators are joining forces on a new anthology, Welcome to Twilight, that will further develop Oswalt and Blum’s world.
The Dark Horse Comics series is set in Twilight City, a sprawling metropolis that is home to hundreds of superheroes and supervillains. The various stories tell tales of down-on-their-luck characters on both sides of the law. While generally comedic in tone, Minor Threats also examines the harsh realities of what life in a world with superpowered people would entail.
Minor Threats: Welcome to Twilight will continue in this vein. Each issue will be handled by a different creative team, with a different central character. However, all of the stories will be created in collaboration with Oswalt and Blum. This will ensure the continuity of the world remains intact.
