The Deadpool and Wolverine movie was a huge success for Marvel in 2024. Unsurprisingly, the company wishes for that success to continue into 2025. To that end, the year will kick off with a new Deadpool/Wolverine comic, teaming Wade Wilson and Logan to hilarious effect.
The new series will find Deadpool and Wolverine joining forces against an unnamed fan-favorite villain. The fate of the world will hang in the balance and the only ones capable of saving it are the Best There Is and the Merc With The Mouth. It spoils little to reveal they will spend just as much time fighting each other as their mutual enemy.

Deadpool/Wolverine also reunites Percy and Cassara
Beyond teaming Deadpool and Wolverine, the new series will also reunite two frequent Marvel Comics collaborators. The new series will be scripted by Benjamin Percy and feature artwork by Joshua Cassara. The two previously collaborated on the monthly X-Force series.
“Josh and I really hit it off when we were working together on X-Force and became great friends,” Percy told IGN last month. “We never stopped texting or hanging out at cons. We’re always trading stupid jokes and many hundreds of Arnold Schwarzenegger GIFs”.

Given that friendship, Percy and Cassara were both eager to work together again. And Deadpool/Wolverine was the ideal project to “get the band back together,” as Percy put it. Percy described Deadpool/Wolverine as “us cartwheeling onto the stage and shredding our guitars once more while smoke machines churn and pyrotechnics explode all around us.” Percy further promised the new series will turn the heads of X-Men fans, with long-buried secrets and unpredictable twists.
Deadpool/Wolverine #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on January 1, 2025.
