What If…? Hero Makes Comics Debut in Kahhori: Reshaper of World #1

Kahhori was the breakout character of What If…? Season 2. A member of the Mohawk Nation, she used her newfound powers to fight the forces threatening her home. Now, she’s making the leap into comics, with a Marvel Voices anthology special.

Titled Kahoori: Reshaper of Worlds, the special will pick up after the episode “What If… Kahhori Reshaped the World?” The young hero has secured peace in her world and helped save reality from a deranged variant of Doctor Strange. However, the multiverse of madness is not yet done with her.

Chasing a strange adversary out of the Sky World, Kahhori finds herself in Hell’s Kitchen of Earth-616 in the 21st century. Culture shock is the least of her problems, however, as her enemy begins rampaging through Manhattan. An all-star team of guest stars will join forces with her against this strange threat.

Kahhori comic to honor Native Americans

The What If…? episode that introduced Kahhori was praised for many reasons. Beyond being an inventive tale that truly took advantage of the What If…? concept, it also offered a respectful portrait of the Mohawk’s culture. Great care was taken to utilize the Mohawk language and art on every level of the production. By the same token, that same care is going into Kahoori: Reshaper of Worlds, which has been timed to release during Native American Heritage Month.

Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds will be presented by a diverse team of talents. The main story will be written by Ryan Little, who co-created the character of Kahhori and wrote her What If…? premiere. The writing team includes Indigenous creators Arihhonni “Honni” David and Kelly Lynne D’Angelo. The art team will feature acclaimed Marvel artists David Culter and Jim Terry, as well as other artists to be announced later.

Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on November 6, 2024.
