Dark Horse Comics is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mike Mignola’s Hellboy, and in grand fashion, as they’ll have a series of different Hellboy San Diego Comic-Con exclusives for fans to pick up.
What are the Hellboy San Diego Comic-Con exclusives?
Throughout San Diego Comic-Con — which is set to take place on July 25-28, 2024 — fans will be able to pick up a variety of different exclusive Hellboy gear, including:
- A Hellboy Seed of Destruction #1 30th Anniversary Convention Exclusive Variant (limited to 1,500) – $25
- The Good, Hellboy, and Usagi Yojimbo Anniversary Print by Eric Powell (limited to 300) – $50
- The Hellboy 30th Anniversary Pinfinity Set – $40
- Hellboy Letterpress Set – $40
The special convention variant of Hellboy Seed of Destruction #1 is a special edition of the first issue of Hellboy, and is printed as uncolored line art and features an updated line art cover, a bonus section with more than 20 sketches, and digital codes for Seed of Destruction #1-4. The anniversary print features artwork from Mike Mignola, Stan Sakai, and Eric Powell, and features all three of the iconic heroes.
The pin set is a three-pin set that depicts a Hellboy 30th Anniversary, Crowned Knight Skeleton, and Giant Robot Hellboy pin. Finally, the letterpress print sets features a bundle of five 4×6 prints of black and white Hellboy illustrations from Mike Mignola printed on original 1955 Vandercook 219AB press on heavy 100lb cover stock. The sets are limited to 666 sets, and comes with a hand-numbered, letterpress printed, red belly-band.
