Exclusive The Marvel Art of Russell Dauterman Posters for Crowdfunded Art Book

For the past ten years, Russell Dauterman has been making a name for himself at Marvel Comics. The artist has thrilled audiences with his work on The Mighty ThorX-Men, and Scarlet Witch. He is perhaps most famous, however, for his costume designs for the Hellfire Gala event. Now, Marvel is teaming up with Clover Press to honor Dauterman with an art book.

Russell Dauterman is not the first artist to receive such a high-end portfolio book. Marvel Comics and Clover Press have partnered before to produce similar books for David Mack, Alex Maleev, and David Nakayama. However, The Marvel Art of Russell Dauterman may be their most ambitious project to date. Beyond collecting some of Duterman’s most popular pieces, the book will also feature some rare and never-before-seen artwork.

“Since I saw X-Men: The Animated Series as a seven-year-old, I’ve loved the X-Men,” said Dauterman. “That show led me to a love of Marvel Comics and to a career as a comic book artist. I’m so grateful to work for Marvel and to draw the characters I’ve loved for nearly my whole life.”

Marvel Art of Russell Dauterman Kickstarter Explained

Marvel Comics and Clover Press will be running a Kickstarter drive to promote the new book, which is a 216-page 9″ x 12″ coffee table edition. Fans will have the chance to purchase signed copies of The Marvel Art of Russell Dauterman, with a remarque and limited edition exclusive slipcase. Other add-ons include a 1,000-piece Women of Marvel puzzle, Hellfire Gala and X-Men 24” x 36” posters, an X-Men trading card set, and collectible stickers. There will also be five 11″ x 17″ prints of the Classic X-Men, Jean Grey and Emma Frost, Scarlet Witch, Thor and the Marvel Art of Russell Dauterman cover.

Two exclusive posters from the drive can be viewed below.
