Final Vengeance #1 Foil Variant Teases Marvel’s New Ghost Rider

Marvel Comics has revealed artist Benjamin Su’s Foil Variant Cover for the debut issue of Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance.

Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance launches in March from writer Benjamin Percy and artist Danny Kim. The new series sees the Spirit of Vengeance possess a “powerful Marvel supervillain,” forcing Johnny Blaze to “embark on an epic quest to become Ghost Rider again before the newly possessed uses its demonic power for a dark purpose.” Su’s cover for issue #1 fittingly depicts one Ghost Rider driving his motorcycle while another looms large in the background. Marvel promises to reveal the new Spirit of Vengeance’s identity in a “special announcement” coming “very soon.”

What to expect from Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance

An official synopsis for Final Vengeance #1 reads as follows: “WHO IS THE NEW SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE? Johnny Blaze was bonded with the Spirit of Vengeance. Unwilling to be a monster, Johnny used this demon from Hell to do good as the Ghost Rider. But heroism isn’t what the Rider was meant for. So who will be the new Spirit of Vengeance? And what will it mean for the Marvel Universe? Find out in this extra-sized first issue by writer Benjamin Percy and hot new art sensation Danny Kim!”

The upcoming series picks up after Percy’s run on Marvel’s main Ghost Rider title — which wrapped up with issue #21 last Wednesday, December 27. According to Marvel, the final includes “a hint at the future of Ghost Rider.”

Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #1 goes on sale Wednesday, March 13 from Marvel Comics. The issue features a main cover by Juan Ferreyra.
