Slightly Exaggerated: Kickstarted Comic Book Lands at Dark Horse

The Kickstarted comic book series Slightly Exaggerated is getting a trade paperback collection from Dark Horse Comics.

Slightly Exaggerated hails from writer Curtis Clow, artist Pius Bak, colorists Roman Titov and Eva De La Cruz, and letterer Toben Racicot. The creators funded the series through multiple successful Kickstarter campaigns. Per Dark Horse, a trade paperback collecting issues #1-4 is due to arrive in bookstores on July 9, 2024. It will then hit comic shops on July 10, 2024.

What is Slightly Exaggerated about?

“A dying treasure hunter must steal back a sacred artifact from a crazed cult leader to restore order before her sickness overcomes her, in a new, fantasy world where religion is the law,” an official synopsis for Slightly Exaggerated reads.

“Set in a land where Sky-whales and airships populate the horizon, this action-packed story follows Mia and her companion Winston, caught in a scheme well outside their comprehension. Mia’s talent for treasure-finding has dragged them into peril, with factions waging war to obtain three sacred relics capable of granting a person the power of a god,” it continues. “A terminally-ill adventurer in a race against everyone, Mia is prepared to sacrifice everything to save her friends.”

Slightly Exaggerated goes on sale in July 2024 from Dark Horse Comics.
