Exclusive Preview: Avengers #37

Mephisto is on the rise in the Marvel Universe, and the devil may finally rule. However, Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon and the patron of Moon Knight, has beaten Mephisto to the punch. In “The Age of Khonshu,” the Avengers have found themselves in a world transformed by Khonshu. New York has become New Thebes City, and Khonshu has also stolen powers from Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Black Panther and the Avengers have managed to stay ahead of Khonshu for now, and they’ve even convinced Marc Spector/Moon Night that his god has deceived him. Unfortunately, that revelation led Spector to pray to a new god. Now, Moon Knight is the new host of the Phoenix Force.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Avengers #37, Jason Aaron and artist Javier Garron bring Khonshu face-to-face with Black Panther and Robbie Reyes. Robbie is taking back his Ghost Rider powers, but Khonshu is far from finished. He’ll burn this world to the ground before he lets it fall to Mephisto.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“THE AGE OF KHONSHU COMES TO ITS THUNDEROUS CONCLUSION! The ragtag Avengers take the fight to the power mad Khonshu, deep in the heart of New Thebes City. But which side will Moon Knight choose? And is Earth doomed either way?”
