Glee’s Darren Criss to Voice Superman in the Animated ‘Man of Tomorrow’

This summer, DC fans will get the chance to see a new animated adventure for the Man of Steel in Superman: Man of TomorrowEntertainment Weekly has just broken the news that the upcoming animated movie will feature Glee star Darren Criss as the voice of the titular hero. This is hardly the first time Criss has made a foray into the comic-book animation world. In the past, he voiced Micro in Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 and then Raphael in Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also made a few live-action appearances as Music Meister in The Flash and Supergirl.

EW also revealed that Alexandra Daddario voices Clark Kent’s love interest Lois Lane while Zachary Quinto will voice Superman’s nemesis, Lex Luthor. In the story, a young Man of Steel will lock horns with Lobo and Parasite. The former will be voiced by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Brett Dalton; the latter by The Walking Dead‘s Ryan Hurst.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow is the second of two Superman animated movies announced for 2020, with Superman: Red Son already available on the digital and domestic market. The story will feature a young Clark Kent still early in his career as Superman.

The cast includes also Ike Amadi as Martian Manhunter, Neil Flynn as Jonathan Kent, and Bellamy Young as Martha Kent. Chris Palmer directs the film, written by Tim Sheridan, with Butch Lukic serving as a supervising producer.
