The CW has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming final episode of Black Lightning Season 3. Freeland looks unable to react to the invasion from the Markovian troops in what looks like an all-out war. The only hope for the salvation of the city is Black Lightning and his team of metahumans. But they will have to lock horns with Tyson Sykes, the original metahuman and great-uncle of the titular hero. Gravedigger is now able to take on the powers of other metahumans thanks to the serum designed by Lynn Stewart. No one is safe.
From the images, it seems also that the Painkiller is taking over Kalil’s body once again. The former member of the American Security Agency and of The 100 looked like he was able to keep his dark alter-ego under control, but it eventually trapped Kalil inside his mind

Salim Akil directed the episode written by Charles D. Holland. The synopsis of “The Book of War: Chapter Three: Liberation” reads as follows:
“Black Lightning (Cress Williams) faces off against Gravedigger (guest star Wayne Brady “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”). Christine Adams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star.”
