Exclusive Preview: Detective Comics #1016

During DC’s Year of the Villain, Lex Luthor offered Mr. Freeze  his heart’s desire. After several years of despair, Victor Fries was finally able to awaken his wife, Nora, from suspended animation. But deals with the devil always come with a price. Unfortunately for Victor, Nora now takes after his icy heart. She has become Mrs. Freeze, and Nora may prove to be more deadly than her husband.

To stop the love of his life, Mr. Freeze has made an alliance with Batman himself. However, it may already be too late to turn Mrs. Freeze back into the woman she once was.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Detective Comics #1016, Peter J. Tomasi with artists Doug Mahnke & Tyler Kirkham show us Mr. Freeze and Batman as they attempt to discover Nora’s next move. However, Mrs. Freeze is already several steps ahead of them.

Here’s the official description from DC.

“Defeating her now-estranged husband, Mr. Freeze, isn’t enough to sate Nora Fries’s bloodlust as she usurps his frozen throne, establishing herself as the first ice queen of Gotham. The Dark Knight will have his hands full as Nora unleashes an icy hell unlike any other on his city’s streets.“
