Exclusive Preview: Marvel’s Contagion #1

For 80 years, the heroes of the Marvel Universe have defeated almost every challenge possible. But starting next week, Ed Brisson and artist Roge Antonio are introducing a brand new threat that may prove to be unbeatable. A Contagion is coming, and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have no defense against it. Technology and magic have no affect on it, and the Avengers will be among the first to fall victim to its curse.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Contagion #1, Ben Grimm a.k.a. the Thing is drawn into the crisis by a kid from Yancy Street. Unfortunately, the kid and his friends have come across something uncontrollable in the sewers. And even the Thing’s strength won’t be enough to protect his family or friends.

Here’s the official description from Marvel: “A NEW EVIL BEYOND UNDERSTANDING COMES TO THE MARVEL UNIVERSE! A seemingly unstoppable force has invaded the Marvel Universe, and it’s going to take every hero the streets of New York has to stop it! A strange substance is taking over heroes and citizens alike, draining them of their life force, stealing their knowledge and abilities, and neither science nor magic can stop it! Where did it come from? Can anything destroy it? And who will fall to its awful, overwhelming power?”
