DC Will Light the Bat-Signal Worldwide For Batman Day

Batman Day is happening next week, DC Comics has a special celebration that involves the iconic Bat-Signal. DC and Warner Bros. will have the signal shine across several locations around the globe on September 21.

This year’s Batman Day will kick off in Melbourne, Australia before continuing in Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Sao Paulo, New York, Montreal and Mexico City before finally concluding its run in Los Angeles. During this time, a Bat-Signal will be shown in the sky at around 8 PM in each city.

Fans that want to keep track of where the Bat-Signal is lighting up can do so on the official Batman 80th Anniversary page. Additionally, it will also showcase other events happening on Batman Day, including a 5K night run and an interview with legendary creators.

“The Bat-Signal is easily one of the most recognizable images among all superhero iconography and this is going to be a remarkable sight as we transcend borders, languages and cultures to bring us all together with this single experience,” said Pam Lifford, Warner Bros. President of Global Brands and Experiences. “We are proud to send up the Bat-Signal on Batman Day because it is an important beacon of inspiration that makes us all believe that it’s possible to take hardship and turn it into something good. Batman Day is a global celebration for all the fans.”

Fans living in those cities will want to have their capes and cowls ready. The Bat-Signal will soon summon them to action!
