Exclusive Preview: Avengers: No Road Home #2 Brings Doom To the Gods

Last year, Avengers: No Surrender brought three teams together to save the world from Grandmaster’s duel with the Challenger. Additionally, Grandmaster’s daughter, Voyager, was placed as a mole within the Avengers. Ultimately, Voyager was so inspired by the Avengers’ heroic spirit that she defected to them. Now, the consequences of that battle are coming back to haunt Voyager and the entire universe.

Al Ewing, Mark Waid, and Jim Zub are reuniting for the 10-part weekly epic, Avengers: No Road Home.  In the first issue, Voyager frantically put together a makeshift team featuring Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Hercules, Vision, Spectrum, Hulk, and even Rocket Raccoon. But they arrived just in time to see Mount Olympus in ruins. The Greek gods are all dead.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Avengers: No Road Home #2, artist Paco Medina depicts the one-sided battle between the gods and their killer: Nyx, the Queen of Night. From afar, Voyager witnesses the massacre before the Challenger makes her realize the role she played in setting Nyx free.

Here’s the official description from Marvel: “Nyx, the Queen of Night, battles the Avengers over the bodies of her victims — and Hawkeye pays the price of defiance!”
