Warner Bros. Pictures has set an April 16, 2010 release date for director Sylvain White’s big screen adaptation of the DC-Vertigo comic book, The Losers. Warner Bros.’ New Line also has A Nightmare on Elm Street scheduled for that day, so we’re assuming one of these projects will be moved away from the other. Dimension Films was planning an April 16 release for Robert Rodriguez’s Nerveracker as well.
The Losers is an adaptation of the DC-Vertigo comic book about a band of black ops commandos who are set up to be killed by their own government. They barely survive and set out to get even.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba, Chris Evans, Columbus Short, Jason Patric, Zoe Saldana and Oscar Jaenada will star.
