Along with other members of the Fantastic Four, the Thing aka Ben Grimm will be added to the roster of Marvel Rivals on January 10 at 1:00 AM PST, as confirmed by an official X (formerly Twitter) post. The post announces the trailer of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. As per some leaks on the internet, fans have deduced that the Thing will be a Vanguard, given his phenomenal strength and bulky build. Additionally, he also sports a nearly indestructible body with stony skin.
As for his weapons, the leak also suggests that the Thing will use his fists to land a combination of attacks on enemies. Here are all the abilities that the Thing will have, based on the leaks:
- Furious Charge – Creating a seismic zone by powerfully charging forward and moving enemies around you.
- Solid as a Rock (Passive) – This gives you immunity to knockbacks and other effects.
- Slam Moment (Ultimate) – Launch lethal force to take down all the enemies in front of you and throw them in the air.
- Battlefield Support – You can help teammates by giving them and yourself damage reduction.
- Team-Up Ability – The Thing as well as the Hulk will have the ability to interact with Wolverine. If both the players confirm, Hulk or the Thing will be able to raise Wolverine and throw him.
