For his crimes against humanity at the end of the Krakoan age, Charles Xavier was imprisoned. It was a punishment Professor X was seemingly willing to endure, for the sake of his X-Men. However, urgent circumstances will drive Xavier to escape from prison and seek out his students, as part of a crossover event dubbed X-Manhunt.
“We’ve mostly been keeping the various groups of X-characters separated from one another as we set up the post-Krakoa landscape,” Executive Editor Tom Brevoort explained. “But it feels like now is the right time to send them crashing into one another. And who better to instigate this situation than the disgraced Professor X, who has intimate connections with almost all of our key players?”
Beyond tying together the current X-Men comics, X-Manhunt will examine the troubled legacy of Professor X. Some of his students are ready to forgive him, while others fear he’s finally snapped. And while his former followers decided his fate, Xavier will have to confront the possibility that he truly has gone mad with power, or maybe just gone mad.
X-Manhunt runs through most X-Men comics in March
Set across eight issues, the X-Manhunt event will be spread across most of the X-Men titles during March 2025. These include X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, X-Force, X-Factor, NYX, Exceptional X-Men and Storm. The crossover concludes with a double-size special, X-Manhunt Omega #1.
