Tom Hardy says he’d ‘love to’ return as Bane for Deathstroke team-up DCU movie

Tom Hardy was recently present at an event held for his upcoming movie Venom 3: The Last Dance.

There, the actor stopped by for a short chat with Entertainment Tonight journalists. While he is super excited about the release of his movie, he blew fans away by admitting to wanting to make a comeback in the role he played in the 2012 movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

The ET journalist referred to the Deathstroke and Bane team-up movie that is reportedly in the works. She asked Hardy, “Word is out that there is a Bane and Deathstroke movie happening with DC. Of course, you play the character in Chris Nolan’s Batman series. Is that character you would like to revisit as well?”

Without wasting any time, Tom Hardy expressed his desire to reprise the role of Bane and said, “Oh, hell yeah. I’d love to.” However, he stated that if the movie happens, then he is ready to pass the baton of playing Bane to some other actor. He added, “I don’t know if that’s for me. I did my run, you know, let somebody else have a go.”

Although reports suggest that the Deathstroke and Bane team-up movie is in development, there has been no official word from DCU heads, James Gunn and Peter Safran. The update was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter in September 2024.
