Jac Schaeffer, the creator of the ongoing Marvel series Agatha All Along, recently touched upon Evan Peters’ return as Ralph Bohner in the show. Peters portrayed the role of Quicksilver in the X-Men movies, garnering immense praise for his performance. Thus, his introduction to the MCU in WandaVision as Bohner created significant hype within the fandom. Talking about his return, Schaeffer recently revealed that she “always” meant to bring him back to Agatha All Along.
Jac Schaeffer ‘always knew’ Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner would return in Agatha All Along
In an interview with Sirius XM’s Jessica Shaw, Schaeffer talked about Evan Peters’ appearance in Agatha All Along and confirmed that it had been part of the plan all along.
Evan Peters reprised his role of Ralph Bohner in Episode 6, and fans couldn’t help but notice the trauma that Wanda Maximoff’s Hex put him in. Thus, while speaking about Peters’ cameo appearance, Schaeffer revealed that it was always the plan. When asked if she meant for Peters to be in the sixth episode in particular, Schaeffer said, “No. So, I always knew that, you know, once it was an Agatha show and it was gonna be a spinoff and we were gonna return to Westview, I mean, even before that I was like, ‘If it’s Agatha, there will be songs, there will be costumes, there will be Evan Peters.'”
The showrunner further expressed she enjoys working with Peters and teased that his role is not just for the sake of cameos and they “still have more to his story.” Schaeffer asserted that the idea of bringing Evan Peters on board again for Agatha All Along was “thrilling” to her.
She added, “I knew that we were gonna do that and I think kind of quickly, I think we settled on it being [episode] six because we knew the pilot would be the misdirect Mare of Easttown. Kind of its own bubble, and then episode two would be the pilot proper.”
Schaeffer further mentioned that everyone from the production was tight-lipped about Bohner’s appearance which “felt like a real victory.”
The show debuted on September 18 on Disney+ and has its finale scheduled to premiere on October 30.
