With only four episodes left, two teams are ready to collide in Supergirl. In the blue corner are the titular heroine and her Super Friends, willing to give their lives to protect National City and restore the order in the world. In the red corner, the Fifth Dimensional Imp Nyxly has teamed up with Lex Luthor. The new power couple also captured many totems, which come in handy when facing Kara Danvers and the other heroes. It appears that the relationship between Lex and Nyxly is not only business. The diabolical genius seems to be madly in love with his partner, going as far as calling her the love of his life. Is it just one of Lex’s schemes, or is it real? The upcoming seventeenth episode will bring some answers and more.

Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Dana Horgan and Nicki Holcomb. The official synopsis for “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” reads:
“LEX RETURNS – When Lex Luthor (guest star Jon Cryer) appears by Nyxly’s (Peta Sergeant) side, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team must deal with the emotional fallout of facing their two biggest foes at the same time. Alex (Chyler Leigh) makes plans for the perfect proposal to Kelly (Azie Tesfai), but work keeps getting in the way.”
Supergirl episode 6.17 will air on The CW on October 26.
