Netflix Releases a Mysterious Stranger Things Season 4 Teaser

Our first proper look at Stranger Things 4 might finally be upon us. After a few months of relative inactivity, the series’ official YouTube account finally updated with a new video that offers more questions that answers. However, it does tease that a big announcement is coming tomorrow morning.

Simply titled “HNL (Hawkins National Laboratory) Control Room,” the video features seven TV screens arranged in a web-like pattern. Most of the screens show static as an opera song plays on in the background. But every few seconds, a grainy image comes into focus, showing everything from a door handle to a chessboard to a bloody eight ball. We also get a glimpse of a room with rainbow wall paper, which could be a reference to the lab’s experiments on children. As fans might recall from a flashback in Stranger Things 2, young test subjects like Eleven were kept in a room with a rainbow painted on the door.

The video’s description also reads, “Due to technical difficulties, Hawkins National Laboratory will be closed until further notice. We will be back in service tomorrow at 9:00AM ET.” In other words, it sounds like Netflix is ready to drop the trailer for Stranger Things’ highly-anticipated fourth season. Plus, we might finally learn when the new episodes will premiere. You can watch the new two-minute viral video below.
