Netflix Drops the First Trailer For Pacific Rim: The Black Anime
Next month, Netflix is reentering the world of Legendary’s Pacific Rim franchise an anime series called Pacific Rim: The Black. Now, Netflix has released the trailer for the show’s first season.
Regardless of the events shown in the first two Pacific Rim films, The Black shows us a world where the Kaiju have overrun Australia. Taylor and his younger sister, Hayley, may also be the only humans left alive there. However, the siblings find new hope when they discover a long dormant Jaeger. With Loa, they might just stand a chance of surviving the doomed continent.

Here’s the official description from Netflix:
“There was a time when Kaiju rose from the Pacific Rim only to encounter gigantic robots, Jaegers, built to fight them back. That time has passed. Now, Australia has been overrun by Kaiju, forcing the evacuation of an entire continent. Left behind, teenage siblings Taylor and Hayley embark on a desperate search for their missing parents, teaching themselves to pilot a battered, long-abandoned Jaeger to help in their quest and give them even the slightest hope of surviving.”
