Black Panther on Disney+ Adds New Chadwick Boseman Tribute Logo

Today would have been Chadwick Boseman’s 44th birthday, and many fans are celebrating the late actor. On Aug. 28, the Black Panther star passed away at 43 after suffering from colon cancer. To honor his memory, Marvel Studios has released a new version of its opening logo before Ryan Coogler’s movie on Disney+. The Chadwick Boseman tribute features some of the most important moments with T’Challa in the film. It also shows a few clips from the actor’s appearances in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Besides that, there are also some behind-the-scenes frames with a smiling Boseman.

Today’s tribute is just the latest one Marvel Studios has shared for the memory of the late actor. A few months ago, they released a touching behind-the-scenes video compilation from Black Panther’s movie appearances. More recently, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales included a tribute that paid respects to Boseman and his legacy in the post-credits. Moreover, the players’ sharp eyes spotted that the 42nd Street in the game was called ‘Boseman Way,’ a reference to the fact that the actor’s breakout role was in 2013’s 42.

In the past, Marvel Studios modified its production logo following Stan Lee’s death. Marvel’s father passed away a few weeks before the debut of 2019’s Captain Marvel, and the movie still has the touching tribute on Disney+.
