The Mother of Dragons has apparently decided that Westeros has far too many problems, so she is now taking on a short trip to… New York City. In a recent video uploaded on fundraising platform Omaze’s Youtube channel, Clarke took on the guise of Jon Snow to speak with some of her fellow subjects: New Yorkers.
“I am Jon Snow and I’m gonna go into Times Square now. Let’s go!” the Mother of Dragons says.
Much to her disappointment, though, no one seemed to recognized her. Moreover, most of the people the actress spoke with in New York City’s Times Square identified as The Walking Dead fans.

The real reason behind this prank is to raise money for Clarke’s own charity, SameYou, whose current mission is to increase rehabilitation access for patients who have suffered a brain injury. Additionally, the charity is helping researchers discover new recovery methods for young adults after brain injury. By donating to the Omaze campaign, fans can get the chance to hang out with the Breaker of Chains herself, stay in a 4-star hotel and go to a private screening of the long-awaited series finale.
The actress recently opened up about her near-death experiences in a first-person essay published in The New Yorker, revealing she suffered two brain aneurysms between filming GoT seasons in 2011 and 2013.
