Today it was announced that Hartley Sawyer has been upgraded to a series regular in the CW‘s The Flash for the upcoming fifth season. Sawyer plays Ralph Dibny on the superhero drama and spent most of Season 4 as a recurring character.
One of The Flash’s most iconic allies, Ralph Dibny — a.k.a. The Elongated Man — is a fast-talking private investigator with investigative skills that rival those of Batman. Upon discovering he has the power to stretch his body to any shape or form, Dibny used his new abilities to help Team Flash solve one of Central City’s greatest mysteries.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. New additions for the fifth season cast include Katee Sackhoff as the villain Amunet Black and Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, aka Elongated Man.
