Jackman Comments on Wolverine Leak
April 8, 2009
Hugh Jackman tells The Advertiser that he is upset for everyone involved in making X-Men Origins: Wolverine, now that an unfinished version of the film has leaked onto the internet:
"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing - I was heartbroken by it," Jackman said.
"Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It's like a Ferrari without a paint job."
"The FBI are onto it and they're taking it very very seriously," he said.
"Rest assured that person will be found."

It'll be okay. Anyone who downloads it will see it in the theatres anyways.

I saw it, and I can't wait to see it in theaters. I can just skip the midnight showing now.

those who ahve seen it and posted negative comments are so stupid when infact they knew that the film was not completed yet... its like watching LOTR without the final movie... so some guys have seen it... wait till we get a crack on it and blow you all away with what we think...
Posted by: Roy on April 8, 2009 at 02:39:45
I've downloaded it, and I will watch it in theaters...maybe more than 2 times haha.
I think the movie is great, but the finished version will be better...looking forward for it.

Of course that person will be found, millions of dollars is at stake, that's much more important than (for example) murder.

I hope everyone who downloaded it is found and prosecuted for piracy. You are stealing from the people who made this movie, not just the overpaid actors, but everyone who put their hard work into it.

It's pre-mature to judge an unfinished film. period.

And it's sad that it happened to such a classy guy as Hugh Jackman. The guy is amazing.

Theft is theft. Criminal prosecution awaits.
Personally, I wouldn't want to watch ANY movie on my computer. That's why I own a big-screen tv and go to the movies frequently. Love that cinema experience!! And yes, I'll be lining up on opening day.

guy above me makes no sense. no theater charges 12-15 bucks a seat.
jackman makes millions for his portratyal, and on top of that he is as stand up a gentleman as any guy can be, so he does deserve sympathy.
and what the hell do you mean by watching a movie for pennies?
i'd bet all my money that you have no friends.

No worries! This film will have a terrific turn out regardless! All those trying to get a hold of it are just fans who will definitely support it in the theaters anyway. I'm super excited for Hugh and know he's gonna give a great performance!

i'll be checking this one out in theaters. A pretty critical dude I know saw the leak and said that he was really pleasantly surprised (he said it was no X2, but well above X3), his only gripe was that there wasn't enough deadpool, but i think that the reshoots weren't included in that leak (not sure if that's right?)
interesting side note - he said that he actually wasn't planning on seeing it in theaters, but now after seeing the leak he's interested in checking it out, so I'm wondering if this will really hurt box office as much as everybody thinks

yeah really... the movie is viewable online at those movie sites, they should just take it down and prosecute the one who uploaded. Not the ones who viewed it. And stop being **** riders. Hugh Jackman wont take favoritism on you. Just another celebrity.

On the plus side, this whole thing has gathered more publicity for the film than any viral marketing could ever achieve. Makes you wonder if the "leak" was a mistake or maybe it was intentional. Anything's possible with FOX.

The difference is, a Ferrari without a paintjob is still a Ferrari, it still drives like a Ferrari, and for all intents and purposes ..it's a Ferrari. Wolverine: Origins has yet to prove it is a Ferrari under it's paintjob. It may be called Wolverine: Origins, but it might just be crap. (I haven't seen the leak).
