The New Wolverine Video Game Trailer!
Source:Activision
March 10, 2009
ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype! has received the new gameplay trailer--titled "Uncaged"--for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game. The Activision game will be available for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and Sony PSP system on May 1st. You can watch the trailer using the player below!
The official "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" game site has been updated as well. New content includes developer blogs which will be updated on a regular basis, 3d screenshots and trailers.
Also, fans who pre-order the game from GameStop will be able to access four exclusive rooms, each of which offers players unique new toys. The environment is separate from the game itself, and it feels like a stark, white high-tech lab. Players begin in a hallway with a door in each wall. Through the first door is the Dismemberment Room. Using a control panel, this room lets players select various limbs and body parts on a holographic soldier. Once the selections are locked in, the soldier appears in a tiled room viewed through a glass wall. The selected limbs are severed with spectacular results. You can view a photo of the room here.
The second room is the Environmental Kill room. This large room features small set-ups of each of the various environments found within the main game. A jungle. A laboratory. A ruined temple. All of these environments contain sharp objects on which Wolverine can impale his enemies. By pushing a red button, players can teleport in a group of soldiers and hurl them against the sharp objects to see them creatively skewered. View a picture of the room here.
The third room is the Ladder Challenge room, which features an array of teleportation disks against the far wall. Pushing a red button will cause a group of enemies to beam into the room. Each time the red button is pushed, the enemies get tougher and more numerous, laddering up the challenge for Wolverine. View pics here and here.
The fourth room is the Custom Combat Arena. This huge space lets players select any combination of enemies from within the game, beam them into the arena, and attempt to defeat them. Face ten hulking Leviathans or a blend of towering W.E.N.D.I.G.O. Prototypes, Machete Champions, and Machine gunners. It gives players endless permutations of exciting battles. I just hope the PS2 version isn't as lame as SM-Web of Shadows, which was more or less Donkey Kong. Boo, Activision.

Don't know where the adult content was. I didn't even see any blood....

This trailer is being released on across several media outlets, hence the lack of any real violence and gore.
The "uncaged" editions will be mature rated.
Plus, if you have been following any of the hands on previews from NY Comic Con and other press stuff you would know just how bloody the game is.

The new Wolverine: XMEN Origins video game looks epic a way toppler of the disgraceful X2 Wolverine's Revenge game back in 2003. Some, of you guys should have more faith than doubt in believing that finally this game will breathe new life into the XMEN movie based games. Yes, Batman: Arkham Asylum is going to be better than Wolverine: XMEN Origins the video game and so will Ghostbusters: The Video Game have you guys seen that on Ign.com. They, are planning to flm, Ghostbusters III sometime in the summer and fall of 2009.

This trailer looks like it would be really badass if the animation wasn't so choppy. What is it, fot the Sega Genesis?
Is there a theme of Logan stabbing helicopters connected to this movie? Or is it just me?
