Source:Entertainment Weekly
January 2, 2009

Entertainment Weekly has published new photos from upcoming releases in 2009, including a slightly new photo from Watchmen (it's very similar to this one) and a new photo from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

You can view the Comedian photo here and Wolverine photo here. The latter photo, however, can be viewed in much higher quality here or by clicking the photo below!

check out the high res of this photo.....dont meen to be **** bout this pic but if u look closely in between his fingers u could see the thing he holds on to to keep his claws on his knuckles.....hope they take care of that in the actual movie to make sure we dont see that

LOL this looks creepy but funny. ARRRR!! Get out of my hot tub.

Posted by: ryu on January 2, 2009 at 01:31:42

haha if you look closely, you can see the claw apparatus thing sticking out from between his fingers...guess they haven't editted this picture yet too much...can't wait for the movie!!

nice pic, but his upper body looks a bit skinny, needs to take some weight gainer or something to fill out more. Wolvie is kinda stocky, not slender, but its a Fox movie so throw out all the aspects of a character we all love.

"this is my jacuzzi" !!!!!!

Haha, wolvie looks skinny and you can see between his fingers the things that is his claws. That sucks.

eh u would think that they would photoshop it out, but whatev. and honestly i thought that this scene would be a little bit more bloody, but its cool. just cant wait for gambit!

Wildsyde7, So your favorite aspects of wolverine are his body and his weight? Personally, I like the claws; which is something reasonable and neutral. But your favorites.. damn... Thats kind of weird.

This looks like it's a photo for publicity purposes (lack of dripping water flying around and such from that point in the scene we've witnessed in the trailer.) I'm a bit surprised that they didn't do a little photoshopping to remove the parts of the claw prop between his fingers, but who knows if it was meant to actually be looked at with such high-resolution? Maybe AICN just asked for the original file and we're seeing it with more fine detail than it was meant to be seen at (too lazy to go research the answer to that.)

Now.. when do we get to see more Deadpool (with the mask on!?)

Why is everyone a critic and they have to point out whats wrong with everything these days????
Can you just enjoy a photo for once.
I hate this photo so much cause the water has 2 much steam. Thats going to ruin the movie!!! Lame..

how is wolverine skinny here? hugh jackman can bench press a bus.
Exaggeration aside, he pushes more than 300 lbs, just to be wolvy.
Not skinny.

A comment on wolverines claws. Keep in mind that this is a STILL shot. It may even simply a pose(and not them taking a shot while he rising for the scene). When the actor is actually moving, his hands will be moving too fast to see the clasp. Also with him being small. Jack is a slender man and the position is him facing forward with his arms back. Perspective he's going to look smaller.

Gambit actually looks awesome in the trailer! Just wish he had the red eyes!

deadpool wont be shown with the mask on until the end - and then do a deadpool spin off. why would they cast ryan reynolds (great casting by the way) and then cover his face up!!!

anyway cant wait for this film

Posted by: Jay on January 2, 2009 at 06:42:12

Very very sloppy. You can see where the blades are mounted on the handle if you look between his fingers. If this is an official photo, it should have been photoshopped out.

Posted by: Mills on January 2, 2009 at 07:00:21

For the person asking why cast Ryan Reynolds if hes gonna wear a mask? Oh I dunno, because it's DEADPOOL, and DEADPOOL WEARS A MASK! It reminds me of Sam Raimi and taking off Spider-Man's mask every 5 seconds. Sorry, but some characters wear masks. If the actor doesnt like that, then hire somebody else. I'm not one of those Batman trolls, but at least one positive thing I could say about TDK was that at least Batman kept his flippin costume on! Not taking off the mask every 5 seconds just so we can remember what actor is playing him. "Is it still Christian Bale? Oh good, it is. Continue movie..."

Posted by: abe on January 2, 2009 at 07:16:23

TDK blows and has no place in a Watchmen/Wolverine thread.
I hope they don't put Wolverine in a costume- I love him in his cowboy threads - we don't want him looking dorky a la TDK. Now thta was a horrible costume.

Watchmen will delayed for sure, no thanks to Fox..... Wolverine will do just fine at the box office... It would be great if Wolvie gets his own trilogy ..

Posted by: hawkins on January 2, 2009 at 07:26:59

no i like tdk and honestly batman begins and tdk are influencing both these films and every other comic movie made from now on, period, so get used to it being mentioned all the time "abe"
the photos are cool but i didn't quite understand what zac was saying in the interview the whole batman and robin ****, anyone care to elaborate for me :)

Evidently the costumes for the Watchmen will have nipples on their chests, just like the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin movies. He was just pointing out how the fans have critizied that fact. If you can stomach it, go back and look at those two movies, I'm just glad they didn't add them to Alicia Silverstone's costume. That would have been too wierd.
