More X-Men Spin-Offs, New Daredevil Film?
Source:Variety
September 9, 2008

In an article at Variety talking about Fox's not-so-hot summer, the trade touches on some possible projects the studio is in talks about:

Though Fox has no plans for a major overhaul, the studio has scheduled a strategy meeting to assess the status of its superheroes, a group sorely missed this summer. On the agenda, Fox will mull the possibility of more "X-Men" spinoffs, including a young-X-Men project as well as "Deadpool," based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in "Wolverine." The studio is even considering reviving the "Daredevil" property.

Should Fox move forward with some of these ideas?

i'd be very excited about a new daredevil movie.

Posted by: odb on September 10, 2008 at 01:06:18

don't really care, cuz fox will mess things up any way.

Posted by: Furyusv on September 10, 2008 at 01:06:43

A new daredevil film would be cool. The first was ok, even with ben affleck!!!!

Posted by: Lelouche Lamperouge on September 10, 2008 at 01:06:53

Considering what they are doing for watchmen....I'm probably gonna boycott all their future endeavors. Although it is gonna suck not seeing Deadpool in the Wolverine spin-off.

HELL YEAH DAREDEVIL!! WHAT TOOK THEM SO FREAKING LONG!! DAREDEVIL DIDNT EVEN FLOP!! IT MADE 65 Mil OPENING WEEK WTF FOX!! MAKE IT A SEQUEL NOT A REBOOT!!

Yes! Jason Stratham has expressed interest in playing Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and I'd love to see it happen.
Same as with Ryan Reynolds in his own Deadpool movie.
Bring them on Fox! In fact, bring them on Marvel, with Fox distributing.

SECOND!!! i thind the daredevil as a movie franchise is dead they shouldnt bother doind a young x-men they should concentrate on x-men 4 and bring back cyclops since nobody really see him die magneto with his powers back and more action stop milking the stories and show the fans what they want to see like iceman fullblown iceman it sucks that it took three movies for us to see iceman like that and they opnly showed him as iceman for a few seconds they should stay faithful to the comics much like how watchmen well my two cents. peace!

Really? Daredevil? Although I enjoy watching the film dipictions of comics, it seems that unless Marvel is in complete control they seem to miss the mark. X-men was entertaining but fell way short (and I mean all 3). They seem to try to make them more than what they are, overthought, overwritten etc...

Ironman and Incredible Hulk show the way they should be done! Let Marvel/the creators give these stories life.

On the other hand make as many as possible!

I would love to see them bring him back but for the love of god keep ben affleck the hell away!

Posted by: Melies on September 10, 2008 at 01:15:13

Yeah whatever Fox does ends up in the thrash can anyway so...

I say give Daredevil back to Marvel...it's not too late to save it.

Posted by: Captain Wow on September 10, 2008 at 01:15:41

Somebody please save Daredevil and for petes sake, KEEP AFLECK AND HIS CHIN AWAY FROM THAT MOVIE!!! and while you're at it, keep Nick Cage away from it too. Guy Pierce. He should have been Daredevil. And what was with Elektra being the most corn fed American girl they could find? She's foreign exotic and dangerous. Jennifer Garner...um, yeah.

Fox should move forward with these ideas.

Lelouche Lamperouge what the hell are you talking about? Deadpool is in the wolverine spinoff.

Fox just needs to piss off.

Posted by: MATT DAMON IS THE DAREDEVIL!!! on September 10, 2008 at 01:22:44

ok now that for the first time i am first and i got it out of my fanboy system i will not do it again i promise.
like the subject title says MATT DAMON AS THE DAREDEVIL!!! its not that i dont like ben affleck, well er ummmm i guess i like him a little. i mean its hard to be a fan of ben's because in truth he really is such a ****ty actor. yet at the same time you sorta feel for the guy cause he seems like a cool down to earth guy and i actually know people who have either met him or went to school with him or have hung out with him. yeah i am a boston boy like ben and matt. ok back to my ranting, i very much think that matt damon would seriously hit the daredevil straight outta the park!!! why you say. here it is look at his bourne movie series he owns that character and matt just looks the part naturally. hes not to to old yet he could still pull it off but the studios would have to act quick and put matt on a good workout. now as far as the x-men spin off's all i have to say is i am not a fan of fox studio doing any superhero movie anymore. fox totally fu cked up the my beloved x-men they completely **** all over daredevil and all the others so honestley i have no faith in fox execs to do the right thing when it comes to the marvel movie rights they have. why doesent fox just hand them back over to marvel because marvel got there **** together and is now pumping out pure gems. the biggest mistake fox studio ever made i mean there are alot but this is a bookoo fu cking huge a ss one THEY HIRED BRET RATTNER TO DIRECT AN X-MEN FILM!!! WTF!!! bret (i have no talent in the film industry) ratner is an absolute joke and a retard. oh and Ryan Reynolds as deadpool is a perfect fit even if fox is the one doing it thats the one exception i will make and support that. i will also pray to the gods of all marvel heroes that deadpool will not be another fox cluster fu ck lets make a toy commercial of a movie!!!
ok nuff said!!!
MAKE MINE MARVEL!!!

EPIC FAIL, i for see...

Posted by: X-fan on September 10, 2008 at 01:25:32

bring back dark phoenix ,,,but like in the comics,,with all the phoenix of fire

Posted by: Richard Parker on September 10, 2008 at 01:26:21

If they're really considering a Daredevil revival, then they've gotta wait at least another couple years.....so that by the time I can get to L.A. with a head-start on my filmmaking career, *I* can do it myself!

*sloppy, self-righteous grin* ...Okay, but seriously, if they're bringing the character back then they NEED to find someone who will take Daredevil as seriously as Singer does with Superman or Nolan with Batman - and preferably the latter.

Posted by: zach on September 10, 2008 at 01:28:27

Im a deadpool fan, but the character doesnot deserve its own movie. I dont think I could put up with that for two hours.

Posted by: Non Geekey fanboy on September 10, 2008 at 01:33:19

Ok this is what I think:
Priorty #1 after the wolverine movie: X4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No bret Ratner!!!! Bring Brian Back! BRing Cyclops Back! Give Rouge her powers Back, and Put gambit in it!! (even though he might be older since he will be appearing in the wolive prequel).

Deadpool: ehh, might be good. He is a pretty interesting character.
Deardevil: don't care, I agree that jen garner was a bad choice
Magneto: the script review sounded good, go through!
Young X-men: I think everyone would rather see a x4!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic 4: Please don't make another.

Oh yea.. the trailer for the wolvie movie is freaking sick!!!! It gives me hope after the abortion that was x3. Its on the web if you look hard enough...

Leave Daredevil alone. The character is too boring and uninteresting to carry his own movie.

Posted by: Matt Devil on September 10, 2008 at 01:36:45

Yeah, return us in Marvel Studios ass well ass my colleague in the business such ass my demon friend - Ghost Rider. and don't let Fox create young X-men. they have already pissed the x-men franchise. Where are the first 5 original students of Professor X? They should give us back to Marvel Studios.
