I want to see Deadpool! Still think the WWII scene is pretty sweet. I wonder how close they will keep to the Origins story line...

This is cool, would have been great if Marvel owned the rights to this then we could have seen Cap in this battle.

I wish that Marvel had the rights back for the X-Men and Wolverine movies. IMO, Wolverine has many great stories that can be told. The Weapon X/Weapon Plus Project is great tale to begin with. I say for future films bring in Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike (not the character from X-2, bring in the true LD), Silver Samurai, Ogun and Shiva.

Heck, if Marvel had the movie rights, Logan can be seen in the Captain America movie (or vise versa) or even meet up with Bruce Banner. He had a lot of very good crossover spots like the time he and Spidey went at it.

- I'll catch you on the flip side!

While I'm certainly pleased with the film's involvement in historical events (sarcasm), I can't help but be concerned that it will become another Highlander film, with Wolverine, Sabretooth, and Wade fighting over "the prize", except, you know, without that simplistic plot element.

Wow, it took me that long to type that. I didn't get a chance to see what you wrote Sentinelofliberty. I very much agree. It would be amazing to see Caps, Logan and a young Black Widow

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Posted by: f-bomb on June 18, 2008 at 12:11:10

This isn't a Marvel property, though, so I'm not sure it will tie in to the eventual Avengers series at all. Who knows? Maybe Fox will find some minor tie in with Steve Rogers. That would be cool.

Posted by: kevlar on June 18, 2008 at 12:12:43

i like wolverine, he is one of my fav comic characters. but that doesnt mean i think this movie should be made, we have pretty much already had 3 mediocare wolverine movies and i jus dont think this movie will be great (especially after seeing the cast) but i really hope that i am wrong, i would love to see a great wolverine movie

Posted by: WarJournalist on June 18, 2008 at 12:21:01

Damn Fox. I just hope this movie will do decently. Hopefully bad press generated by X3 won't spill over into Wolverine. That's what everyone went to the theatres to see. A growl, and the sound of metal scraping bone and breaking skin. Hopefully if a sequel comes out, they will include Omega Red, a younger Deathstrike(it's her mom or something), and the trip to Japan! Every hero needs a love interest and Wolvie's is in Japan. Maybe, if Marvel can strike a deal with Fox, Cap could make a cameo in this ones, and Marvel Studios can team with Fox on Captain America. Who knows. And yes. Wolverine must battle Hulk at least once in this own movie series.
END OF ENTRY

man, I really wanna see Deadpool; by the way, am I the only one who noticed the Wolverine reference in The Incredible Hulk? When Gen. Ross pulls out the vial containing the first injection that would be given to Blonsky it says 'Weapon Plus' on the steel stamp under the subjects name (the name, however, wasn't a familiar one)

Posted by: clobberin' time on June 18, 2008 at 12:27:56

Fox will never let the X-Men rights revert back to Marvel... Not in our lifetime.

Posted by: buck on June 18, 2008 at 12:34:43

A Cap cameo would be great! Perhaps the studios can work out something were they have a cap cameo in this and a wolvie cameo in cap america. These movies are not competing! Genere fans will see them all if they are good. The studios would all win if they would wise up and help each outher promote there films.

Posted by: Clobberin' Time on June 18, 2008 at 12:37:49

There will be no Cap cameo.

what a waste of time to see these crapy pics. Lets take a picture of jackman driving, or eating, or taking a sh-t! great wolverine pics lol!

First time I've ever bothered to chime in with the rest of the whining geek masses but I had to say that I'm very disappointed in the way Fox has handled the entire X-Men franchise and its characters. I havent yet given up hope but I wish SPH would stop posting set pics cuz the more I see the more my gut tells me this is gonna suck. We all know what happens when Hollywood tries to capitalize on a successful franchise."beat a dead horse anyone?"

Posted by: RJ on June 18, 2008 at 13:50:48

There better NOT be a Cap cameo. What is it with you retard fanboys thinking the entire Marvel Universe has to appear as cameos in everybody elses movies? Like the retard yesterday who liked Hulk, but would have liked it more if Spider-Man had been seen swinging overhead.

You clueless mooks are the ones that got Venom into Spidey 3 and we all know how THAT turned out. So just shut the f_

Posted by: ZebraBob on June 18, 2008 at 13:55:34

Fox only has Rights to make movies off of the X-Men and Wolverine for X-Amount of time before they have to renew the rights with Marvel or revert back to Marvel...once that happens, Watchout!!!!

Posted by: Stumblin on June 18, 2008 at 13:59:58

Honestly, a Captain America cameo would be cool. But not in the sense that you see him. Maybe they bring him up in conversation. For instance,

Soldier #1 "What if we get flanked on the west?"
Soldier #2 "I think it's covered they got some super soldier takin' those Nazis out, we got other **** to worry about."

That's just a thought.

Why is wolverine fighting withe the US? I thought he was a Canadian...
Q: What is the meaning of that Blue and Gray yin-and-yang symbol worn by Corporal Upham?

A: That is the division patch of the 29th Infantry Division, a National Guard Division with troops from Virginia, Maryland, and DC It was known as the Blue-Gray Division, because it had regiments with ties to both the Confederate and Union Armies. All U.S. soldiers wore their division patch on their left shoulder.

Avengers Cast:
Captain America - Brad Pitt (Putting aside all the media attention, the guy can act and looks the part)

Bucky/Winter Soldier - Matt Damon (Think Bourne Idenitity in a costume)

Thor - Josh Holloway (Tall, Blonde and may be able to pull this off)

Black Panther - Djimon Hounsou (Born to play this part)

Hawkeye - Thomas James (He won us over with his version of Punisher but I believe this is the true role for him)

Hank Pym - Josh Lucas (Great actor)

Wasp - Evangeline Lilly (She's tiny already but also an amazing presence)

Black Widow - Marg Helgenberger (This CSI hottie is just that, hot, if she can master that Russian accent, watch out!)

FireFly's Enigma:

Glad to see that you're still using that sign-off, man! Coolness, brotha!!! You're the epitome of COOLNESS!!!!!

Now you're inspiring me to change my handle to "COMICARTIST'S RIDDLE!!!"...NAAAAHHHH!!!!!

TAKE IT EASY, MAN!

To: Stumblin'

Gotta' agree with you on the idea of bringing up Captain America in a vague, but pointed manner. That'd be sweet!!! FireFly's Enigma's comment on the young Black Widow made me bust out that Jim Lee Uncanny X-Men issue he referred to in his last post. That is, by far, my all time favorite issue of Uncanny X-Men EVER!
That opening splash page with Cap leaping into a bunch of ninja's katana (their point of view), with his shield over his head was the greatest opening ever!!!

Cannot wait for this flick. Hope it'll be awesome!!!!!!!

---Later!
