The clip was cool, but did Snyder just say Superman doesn't care about humanity? :|

Posted by: SeanJohn on March 4, 2009 at 18:11:39

No, he meant HIS superman, Dr. Manhatten, doesn't care about humanity, not the actually Superman.

Posted by: Thekid on March 4, 2009 at 18:16:59

he meant his superman and batman. Doc Manhattan and The Night Owl.

Posted by: Rodrigo on March 4, 2009 at 18:23:19

I heard something about a Directors Cut?

Posted by: Razoroo on March 4, 2009 at 18:25:51

Erm, Lobo, he was comparing Dr. Manhattan to Superman, but a kind of opposite in that he doesn't care about humanity, unlike Superman who does care. That's also why he said Batman can't get an erection; he means Nite Owl who is kinda like Batman.

Anyway, that was was a decent clip. Surprisingly violent. I can't help but feel that they still could have put in the real ending if they hadn't wasted time with all the rival companies and take-over talk scened with Ozzy.
Also, Snyder and Jeff look so fun to hang out with. I wanna be their friend. And Malin's boyfriend.

I really think they messed up Ozymandias. They make it seem like he's a villain.

Posted by: HARD NIPPLES on March 4, 2009 at 18:32:27

did anyone notice the background music was slightly out of place...

Posted by: HARD NIPPLES on March 4, 2009 at 18:33:50

@NDes

...You do realize that Ozymandias is the villain...don't you...

Posted by: abitaman on March 4, 2009 at 18:34:03

egfpracs you were not FIRST!!!

But movie is looking more and more promising!!

Posted by: NDes on March 4, 2009 at 18:36:39

Yep, I realize it. However, I feel like one of the greatest things about the graphic novel is that you don't REALLY expect him to be the bad guy. If you look at all his frames, he always looks innocent. And really, I think he is innocent. He THOUGHT he was doing what was best for the world. If you make it seem like he's a villain, you do a disservice to his character in my opinion.

Posted by: Rodrigo on March 4, 2009 at 18:38:27

Ozymandias, he aint a real villain. I know he doesnt say this but Wesker does from Resident Evil 5 and Ozy would say something like this.

"Everyday Humanity is one step closer to self-destruction. Im not destroying the world, Im trying to save it".

i have reservations about the terminator movie. mainly because mcg is a hack!! it will end up having 2 cuts per second like the crap charlies angels movies he directed.

Posted by: TheBat on March 4, 2009 at 18:55:04

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it....

Posted by: TheBat on March 4, 2009 at 18:56:45

Ozy is the Lex Luthor of the Watchmen universe.

Posted by: Jeff on March 4, 2009 at 19:13:20

They look like such down to Earth people. The movie looks really good. That scene looks like it was ripped from the paged of the graphic novel. Good times, good times.

I thought Roscarch was kind of like a mixture of Batman and The Question while Nite Owl was a mixture of the Ted Kord Blue Beetle and Batman
