Warner Bros. Pictures has provided us with the new trailer for director Zack Snyder's Watchmen, opening in conventional theaters and IMAX. Warner Bros. Pictures' big screen adaptation of the graphic novel stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Carla Gugino, Stephen McHattie and Matt Frewer.
A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, Watchmen is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity...but who is watching the watchmen?

Looks good,. I just hope they make it TRUE to the Novel. Theres alot of detail that they have to cover in this movie. I wonder what the endings going to be?

No matter how well this is translated, someone's always going to have a problem with it.
The R rating actually surprised me. But what can you expect with this subject matter.
Considering the storyline(read the book)this looks to be a good flick.
March isn't that far off.

great trailer but two things stood out as odd to me, as a Watchmen reader
-i always expected Rorshach's voice to be softer, and more monotone with less emotion to it (but i can get used to it like this)
-Jon's voice seems overly....normal. The only spot where it even approached what I thought it would be was when he shouts "Leave Me Alone!" and it sort of resonates, kind of like there's more than one voice saying it.

mmm for me i think that the previous trailers
are better than this, i do not know, maybe the theme song of this was not the best

OMG
that was so awesome
dr.manhattan speaks!! finally
rorshach talking through most of the trailer,
and the plot is introduced
unlike the first preview that was mostly
slow-mo images

Love it! Only concern I have is Manhattan's voice. When he yells "Leave me alone!" he sounds cool, but when he's talking to Laurie he just sounds too normal.

YEA DUDE...The song was by Muse and called Take A Bow off of their album Black Holes And Revelations...glad to hear that some people also like good music...
OMG
HOW sick would it be if Radiohead did a song for this movie or the next trailer had one of their songs...LOL

This shattered my world. Not in a remotely good way.
Posted by: richard on November 13, 2008 at 20:34:52
To Ben.
A LOT OF CGI?
WELL ****ING DUH. HOW ELSE WOULD THEY EVER BE ABLE TO DO IT? THERES ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN DO FOR REAL!!
But yeah. Looks AMAZING. Glad about the R and even glader that March isn't really that far off.
