Chris Morgan Still Involved with Wanted 2
Source:MTV
May 5, 2009

Last month, it was announced that Evan Spiliotopoulos was taking over screenwriting duties on Wanted 2 from the first film's writer, Chris Morgan. Morgan tells MTV, however, that he is still involved with the sequel:

"I'm actually still involved with 'Wanted,'" Morgan told MTV News, explaining that his current workload made it necessary for him to step aside from primary writing duties on the film. However, he'll still have input on the sequel's creative development — which includes the "global" angle to the story he revealed last year.

"We knew we wanted to do 'Wanted 2,' so we started developing a take and came up with a story that's pretty good and develops the characters," said Morgan. "But in the process of developing it, I also had commitments to 'Gears of War' and the samurai movie I'm doing at Universal."

Wanted 2!? I was interested in the movie because it had the cool, sly Morgan Freeman and smokin' hot Angelina Jolie... and their characters were killed off in the first movie!! So if they want this to work, it's gotta be a prequel. To me, it's not going to be worth it without those two main characters.

nice spoiling it for anyone who didnt see Wanted DavidaKhoa

Would be kinda cool to tie it in with the game somehow (I thought it was a great story). Have some flashbacks of the Immortal from the Brotherhood in France. Use the guy who played Abruzzi in Prison Break, pretty sure they used him as motion capture and for voice talent anyway.

I thought Wanted was awful. Bullets swirling around in complete circles is just stupid beyond reason, and the fact that all these guys are doing what a crochet machine tells them to do....my GOD MAN! The whole film is littered with garbage such as Macavoy screaming his lungs out the entire length of every fight and all kinds of nonsensical BS plot holes.

Not a movie that warrents a sequil.......the first one was mearly ok

@F13RC3: That's funny!

i think they should have wesley hunting down the remaining members around the world. they could put him in the costume from the comics and throw in characters not used in the first film.

I'd never read Wanted, and after seeing the film I now never will. It was nothing but a series of loosely linked money shots- and I have absolute faith in the creative team behind Wanted 2 to deliver more of the same mind-numbing atrocities they committed in the first 'film'.

LEE: Here too brother? lol
I understand. Just remember, no more worries with the sequal. Japan all the way my friend, not much to screw up there!

another wanted yeah its really not wanted
this movie was kinda lame
plus didn't all the characters die ??

I don't get it. WANTED was amazingly fun. Sure it shouldn't have been called WANTED cause it was nothing like the comic, but it was popcorn with the perfect amount of butter. In fact now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I'll watch that movie tonight. I'm in the mood for some amazing action that doesn't take itself too seriously.

wanted 2....not wanted at all..

Anyone know what "Samurai Movie" he was talking about?

Posted by: Rasheed on May 6, 2009 at 13:35:30

Yeah, Wanted was pretty awful. I love how terribly disjointed films these days get green-lighted with sequels purely on the basis on the money that the idiot mass loves. No one gives a damn about artistic integrity anymore.

Wanted had neat special fx but it was terrible otherwise. They should've picked a tough hott black chick for the role of Fox, not that emaciated skeletonesque Jolie. I'd have much rather seen the comic book supervillains. I'm not very interested in seeing this sequel, unless they bring it back round to the comic somehow.

Jolie is awesome.
