I'm wondering how much desire there is for this movie. I remember, after seeing the first one, thinking, "That was okay,... but not great". The best part was the girl leaning over the engine. That one scene reminded me of the famous scene in James Bond's "Dr. No" where Ursula Andress came walking out of the ocean in that white bikini - one of those moments where every guy in the audience just says, "sheesh". I know, I know, 99% of the guys on this web-site have no clue what I'm talking about... google it. However, I guess if that same girl from the first Transformers is in this flick, I'll go see it... but honestly, what's the attraction for the rest of it? Shea? There's no way people are that into him. The robots? Okaaaayyyy... I guess they're sorta cool, but... really? Is it the story-line? The CGI? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm seriously curious why people liked the first movie. Please tell me. And tell me if this movie is going to come anywhere near Star Trek's numbers?

I saw a slightly different one trailer earlier tonight on ESPN, during the Yankees-Twins game. It ended with Sam screaming "Bublebeeeee!"

this movie is gonna rock ballz!!

@ Honest Fan

I liked the first one cause it was just a good movie. yeah Megan Fox is hot but thats not only reason I liked it. I thought the actors were decent and as for the story, how can you go wrong when your doing a modern movie based off of a 90s cartoon that revolved around alien robots that transformed into cars and trucks. so yeah, the story was pretty good too. not to mention that the robots were amazing looking and had some really great action scenes. and I actually enjoyed some of the random humor that made the movie not so dark... except jon tutorro... I hate that guy. and I appreciate you not being a tool like that e-bay guy at the top and just naming off everything he could think of.

We are all dumb. We will keep falling for the same tricks. Lots of T&A. Lots of **** goes boom.
I understand Ebay's frustration.
I wish I where better than that (I did avoid Wolverine so that is something). But I will pay to see this and they will keep making crap films that talk down to us all.
That's just the way it is.

@Wade T. Wilson

Thanks man, I appreciate your honest answer.
I guess you're right in saying, "How can you go wrong when your doing a modern movie based off of a 90s cartoon that revolved around alien robots that transformed into cars and trucks". That is a fun starting point. However, where will it end? Are we destined to see "The Smurfs", "Johnny Quest", "G.I.Joe", "Speed Racer", "Scooby Doo", "The Flintstones", and a host of other old cartoons turned into live-action movies? Oops... wait a second.

@e bay

Get a life you lame. I mean seriously come on. You know you're gonna be one of the first to watch it.

@ Honest Fan

Some of our favorite cartoons could actually be translated to quality live action. The thing is they get changed from what they used to be to attract a newer audience. Sad fact is the original fans are getting old and one day we won't be around to provide our patronage so new blood is needed.

Why are they hiding those motorcycle things? They're what I want to see.

Honestly the reason people go to see this movies, I think is because of the nostalgia that it brings. They haven't been aired in a very long time, and people like me who grew up watching these shows, will bite real easily because of that nostalgia.

I saw the first Transformers movie. I thought it was great, not because it had a story, I didn't expect that since the beginning, I'm not a Michael Bay hater, but a lot of his movies are lacking in the story department. He's a special effects guy, so what can you expect? The reason I thought the movie was great was because it threw me back to when I would sit in front of the T.V. on saturday or sunday mornings and watch it.

This is why these kinds of movies will keep coming. Although I have to say this is still a better movie than some other ones that are out there. *cough* dragonball *cough*

Posted by: CCR on May 19, 2009 at 04:11:46

@ E BAY

i REALLY hate it when so-called haters use very long lists of things they hate about the first transformers movie, when it's PAINFULLY CLEAR they've obviously seen it too many times.....and in slow-mo

f cking losers, go try to rain on something else, the ppl that like these movies don't listen to your bullsh t....the end :)

I think it looks great.The cgi seems fantastic and i hope the get an academy award this time.To be honest i really enjoyed the first movie.I grew up with the first generation transformers and i really liked the movie.Sure it had some differences from the cartoon but i don't see another way it could be done and not look silly.
