The Lone Ranger Will Have to Wait on Pirates

ComingSoon.net talked to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who revealed that Disney would like to see Johnny Depp reprising the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 before he takes on the role of Tonto in The Lone Ranger. He added that the latter does not have a director yet, contrary to previous reports that said Mike Newell was set to direct.

Actually, Johnny Depp is part Cherokee and Navajo. Probably the biggest part Indian star in Hollywood

i can see that the color is always very important in your country...
About the news, the first movie Pirates was awesome the second was interesting but sometimes too much and the script was not really good and the third was not good, so stop it.

By the way, I hope Disney doesn't go with another Pirates movie. The first one was good. The others? Not so much. We've seen his Jack Sparrow. I'd be far more interested to see Depp's take on the Tonto character.

Also, I am curious as to what they would do with Pirates 4. Having Captain Jack search for the Fountain of Youth would be pretty awesome. . .

When does Pirates 4 (or maybe it will be called 'Jack Sparrow') start shooting?
Pirates 1 was awesome, Pirates 2 was annoying as it didn't give us the answers to the problem that Davy Jones caused (I'd blame that on the Kraken - it was too easy an answer to problems) but Pirates 3 was totally awesome as it answered the problems raised in Pirates 2, its the only movie I've cheered throughout the entire film (bringing back Bardossa was a good move)!

The Lone Ranger wears a mask. So does batman. Both lack super powers, but both fight for justice. They are "heroes" but not superheroes. Are you actually complaining that this news does not belong on this site because the character lacks supehuman powers? Using that logic, lets never see Batman news on here again, or Punisher news, or several other characters that do not possess super powers.

How about Pirates 4 could be Sparrow searching for a book that would enable him to loophole through time and give me back my money on the wastes that were parts 2 an 3 and then Disney could reboot the series all over again since Hollywood is all about rebooting and rehashing the same damn movies over and over and over… I feel like I am in a loophole too.

To be honest SHH post news of anything these days. Video game movies are not superheroes, neither are a lot of comic adaptations SHH covers. Just because is a comic book or graphic novel doesn't mean is superhero. Is Sherlock Holmes or James Bond a superhero? Nope! Yes, Batman has no superpowers but he is a superhero because he fits the superhero description and has a lot of things that defines a superhero. He wears a mask and a costume, has a double identity and a symbol on his chest etc. You know what I mean. SHH is more of a movie site these days than a superhero movie site as it started out. If it's a movie geared towards teens they post it. Can't blame them for selling out.
