UPDATE: New Featurette on Surrogates
Source:Superhero Hype!
May 11, 2009
A featurette on the Jonathan Mostow-directed sci-fi thriller Surrogates has turned up online and can be watched using the player below. Opening in theaters on September 25, the Touchstone release stars Bruce Willis, Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, James Francis Ginty, Boris Kodjoe and Ving Rhames.
In the film, FBI agents (Willis and Mitchell) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves—fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles—enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who's real and who can you trust?
UPDATE: The studio has removed the clip from YouTube.

The concept is good. The lead actor is good. The movie should be good. but will it even come close to being as good as "The Dark Knight". That is the main question.
When are they going to reboot Kazaam? Recast Shaquille Oneal.

Looks kinda cool. Awesome that Willis and Rhames are back together, but I doubt Ving actually has a big part as I didn't see him in the trailer.

Yes. In fact, OH MY GOD dare I say it?... it'll be BETTER!!! You know why? No? I don't either, but I certainly don't see why it should compete with TDK. It's not a "main question" as far as I'm concerned, just leave TDK alone. I don't see why it's still gotta be compared to films that aren't even on it's wavelength. Sheeeit, I'm about ready to ask if this will be better than the Lord of the Rings trilogy...

Looks interesting, hope it's rated R. Radha Mitchell and Rosamund Pike... Willis had fancy hairstyle :) but ok, in this movie he's bald too.
This is good year of SF

OMG! Can you fanboys ever STOP comparing every sci-fi movie to THE DARK KNIGHT?!
I love the BATMAN comics, animation, and movies like everyone else, and TDK WAS awesome, but this madness HAS to stop.
It's like STAR WARS all over again...
and, I also LOVE SW, but comparing every film to a SINGLE masterpiece is stupid!
Let it GO, people! Get on with your LIVES!

Batman begins is a far better movie than TDK, the only thing worth watching TDK was Ledger.
Please stop using TDK as the milestone to compare future movies to... P!ss $h!t, Fück!!

Who cares what it's about. If Bruce Willis is in it, I'm seeing it.

woah..this is too weird... I just read surrogates, as soon as I was done, i thought "wow this would be a sweet movie". no idea there were any plans for it. The artwork style reminded me alot of fincher's se7en... story line a little bit like Irobot, but a little darker.
cannot wait for this!
