what a bunch of no puntang geting geeks!

KLYTE11561 is correct. The NY Comicon is fantastic every year. The SDCC is the 'superbowl" of Comicons no doubt. My family has attended the SDCC for several years now w/o fail and managed to go to the NYCC the last 2 years. NYCC is getting bigger each year and will catch up to SDCC in attendance soon i imagine.
Regardless of what you like there is something for everyone at these events. My kids love the costumed attendees as do I and my wife. @$$hats like lactade would like the sexy models they hire to potray some of the smoking characters of the comicbook world (i.e. Emma Frost, Lara Croft, etc etc etc.)
You dont have to be a "geek" to enjoy these. My kids Godfather is not a comic fan but loved meeting the stars that were at SDCC like Jackman. Not to mention uveilings of upcoming movie trailers.
So GEEk or NON-GEEK, go to one at least once in your life. You will be hooked.

That Daredevil bust shall be mine. Look at that quality.

They actually made busts for Warzone and Spirit?! lol As much as I did like Ray Stevenson, Warzone was complete Garbage.

I can't wait for watchmen, it is going to be sweet. So what if it isn't exact. What book or comic book to film was ever 100% accurate. This is going to be sweet.

So that Sam Worthington T4 toy pretty much confirms he's a terminator, what with the half metal face and all. I know we basically knew that already but hey more confirmation is always good.

that Batman jam piece by Dustin Nguyen is awesome! i hope DC releases that as a poster!

Posted by: Guy in a Suit on February 8, 2009 at 16:34:16

The Joker got slimed!

NYCC was great guys, they showed us the first 20 minutes of WATCHMEN, (phenomenal) and an additional 30 second scene that was equally glorious. McG was present to discuss all issues Terminator (including addressing the Temper Tantrum incident), which also is looking kick ass. We saw a more in depth and extended trailer, not unlike the footage screened at SDCC '08. I can tell you that the story is becoming more clear and that time travel and the continuity of the mythology will be a big factor in overall story. Surrogates also looks interesting, as does Knowing, of which we saw two frightening and very well executed sequences. Lot's of other cool stuff included the Ghostbusters game (which has improved vastly from SDCC '08 demo) the Wolverine game and DCU Online. Also enjoyed a game called Damnation. Also noteworthy was celebrations commemorating the 25th anniversary of TMNT and a review panel of the last decade in the Star Wars Universe. Everyone should check out next year's Con, as the NYCC continues to grow!

That Yatterman logo looks like a pair of underwear.

Posted by: xkot on February 9, 2009 at 09:11:18

That guy's costume is amazing -- he looks just like a Heath Ledger Joker action figure!

Posted by: Shayera on February 9, 2009 at 09:25:49

The Joker looks like a thinner Chris Nolan.
