Gale Anne Hurd's Valhalla Motion Pictures has closed a deal for the film rights to produce the graphic novel "Gearhead" which Hurd will produce. "Gearhead" was created by Dennis Hopeless and Kevin Mellon and published by Arcana Comics.
In "Gearhead," a young woman teams up with a group of rebels to fight the corrupt superheroes who govern the United States. She must rise to the challenge of her destiny and become "Gearhead."
"We are excited to bring 'Gearhead' to life. It's a terrific character-driven story set in a unique and compelling world," said Hurd.
"To work with Gale on Gearhead is simply fantastic. We couldn't have found a better partner," Arcana Studio's Sean O'Reilly commented.

I`ve heard a lot about Gale Anne Hurd, she`s one of the big movers and shakers of the movie industry that`s been behind a lot of the big blockbusters. But I`ve never heard of this graphic novel ''Gearhead'' before Superhero Hype mentioned it as a topic today. I have to say,I like the idea but it reminds me a bit of The Ultimates from the Ultimate universe, even though the Ultimates weren`t really corrupt and they didn`t rule the country they were in the employ of the government and they would bend the rules whenever it suited them and as my brother correctly pointed out once ''they were all *******s in that group''.Obviously the young Rebels warring against the evil powers-that be-formula has been done to death but doing it in a fresh and cool way by making the Superheroes the corrupt anatagonists instead of the rebels is the ticket(seeing as most terrorists usually call themselves ''rebels'' or ''freedom -fighters'' anyways.)
But like what the Lost Boys movie and the Buffy and Angel series from Joss Whedon did with the done to death vampire-formula (and according to what I`ve been hearing the Twilight movie brings something new and exciting as well)Gearhead sounds like it could be a exciting and innovating movie because it too, brings something new to the table-only in this particular case for Superhero movies. And with Gale Anne Hurd on board I think the coolness factor has just gone up.

Good grief. When will Hurd fall off the face of the planet? Every movie she touches she ruins. I venture to bed her not-so-great director husband will end up directing this as well. Another superhero movie gone down the dran by this Destruction Dream Team. *facepalm*

If they are corrupt, why bother calling them superheroes? They're supervillains for Christ's sake.

Gale Anne Hurd is a brilliant woman jrobert she is best known for working on The Incredible Hulk film projects with Ang Lee's 2003 blockbuster with Eric Bana and Jennifer Connelly. Here's a quote from both Jennifer Connelly and Eric Bana as Robert Bruce Banner and Elizabeth Betsy Ross. Bruce, what happened to you last night. Betty Ross/ Bruce Banner/ I had the most vivid dream it was like being born coming up for air light hitting my face screaming. My heartbeat going bomp bomp. Great acting line huhhhh jrobert. Okay here is a short line from The Incredible Hulk in 2008 the requel sequel to The Hulk. Liv Tyler/ You've made him a fugitive to protect yourself and to protect your career don't ever speak to me as your daughter again. Edward Norton/ There are aspects of my personality that I can't control. When, I lose control it's very dangerous to be around me. It's a little more complicated than that. Not this one. Wht do you think jrobert was I really in character all acting is focusing on your lines and acting them out as if you are really your fictional self in the comic book. I think Eric Bana and Edward Norton did an awesome job on portraying Bruce Banner. Edward Norton can also be seen in Pride and Glory this year with Colin Farrell. I remember Colin from his last film with Jamie Fox 2 years ago in the TV series feature film, Miami Vice. Eric Bana I believe starred in an English film I forgot the name of it with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannsenn. Eric Bana is working on his next film role project as a villain in next year's Star Trek XI. I saw a photograph of him as a villain in Star Trek XI and he looks like Kratos from God of War. Alot of real like actors playing tattooed body painted characters look like Kratos even Mortal Kombat icon character Quan Chi resembles the Spartan king and hero. Thanks, for chatting about Gale Anne Hurd's work I know you and I are big fans. I also am a big fan of Lura Ziskin's costume designing and her hardwork on the Spiderman films and I will be looking to hear alot more from her on the upcoming next 3 films of Spiderman.
